Warnings: Caution! Harmful if swallowed. May be injurious to mucous membranes. Skin and eye irritant. Contains alcohols, phosphoric acid. Whenever possible, use in an open air area. Do not use in areas where vapors can accumulate and concentrate. Use only with adequate ventilation. For further information, refer to the material safety data sheet. This product is intended for occasional use only. For occasional use, where engineered air control is not feasible, use properly fitted and maintained NIOSH approved respirator for acid fumes. A dust mask does not provide protection against vapors. Do not take internally. Avoid breathing of vapors or mist and contact with skin and eyes. Close container and store upright after each use. Do not reuse this container.
Acute Health Effects: From MSDS:Hazards IdentificationCaution! Harmful if swallowed. May be injurious to mucous membranes. Skin and eye irritant.Routes of Exposure: Inhalation, Ingestion, Absorption.Potential Health EffectsInhalation: Can cause irritation or corrosive burns to the upper respiratory system, including nose, mouth, and throat. Lung irritation and pulmonary edema can also occur.Skin contact: May cause irritation with pain and stinging, especially if the skin is abraded. May cause skin burns. May be absorbed through intact skin, but has been considered toxicologically insignificant.Eye contact: Substance is corrosive. Causes eye irritation, May produce a burning sensation, redness, tearing, inflammation, and possible corneal injury. May cause burns and blindness.Ingestion: Causes irritation and can cause corrosive burns to the mouth, throat and stomach. Can be fatal if swallowed. Causes gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. May cause kidney damage. May cause central nervous system depression, characterized by excitement, followed by headache, dizziness, drowsiness, and nausea. Aspiration into the lungs may cause chemical pneumonitis.Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated By Exposure: Diseases of the skin and respiratory system/lungs.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS:Long term exposure may cause upper respiratory disease and irritation of the skin.
Carcinogenicity: Does not containingredients listed as carcinogenic by IARC, NTP and OSHA.
First Aid: Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Immediately wash skin thoroughly with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.Eyes: Immediately begin to flush eyes with water, remove any contact lens. Continue to flush the eyes for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get immediate medical attention.Ingestion: If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Give one or two glasses of water, or milk if available. Seek immediate medical attention. Call a physician or poison control center immediately. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.Note to Physician: Treatment of overexposure should be directed at the control of symptoms and the clinical condition of the patient.
